The Center for Ethnic Student Affairs (CESA) at the University of Utah has named Deanna Blackwell its new African-American Administrative Program Coordinator.Deanna is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Education, Culture and Society at the University of Utah. She also holds a master's degree in African studies and a bachelor's degree in literature and composition.
Her professional experience has focused on teaching multicultural education and advising students of color. Deanna is looking forward to concentrating her efforts on advising and developing programs that will assist Black students on campus.
