Two Events to Mark Interfaith Day of Celebration:
St. James Church of God in Christ and LDS Church Share Day in Riverside
   
Congregations from the St. James Church of God in Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will meet together in a celebration of Christ, culture, and one another on Saturday, April 16.

Map to ParkThe day's activities will begin with a service project from 8:30 a.m. to noon to beautify Hunter Park (the train park), located at 1400 Iowa Avenue (which intersects Columbia Avenue). Participants will plant trees and paint fences. Lunch will be provided by the City of Riverside.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for the members of our churches to discover and celebrate all that we have in common" said LDS Bishop Jay Cardon.

Map to ChurchA devotional that evening at 7 p.m. at the Blaine Street Chapel, located at 181 W. Blaine Street, will feature a choir made up of youth from both churches, with devotional addresses given by Pastor Jesse J. Wall of the St. James Church and Elder Marvin Perkins of the LDS Church. All are welcome to attend either or both events.
