Greater Love Hath No Man: Support Cancer Relay for Life

Relay for Life teamRelaying For Life Team WAC USA is back! (WAC = Working Against Cancer, War Against Cancer, Walking Against Cancer.)

Whether it is a friend, a family member, or the neighbor down the street, we all know someone who has been touched by cancer. Many of us are concerned about this disease and want to do something to make a difference. Thatis why Team WAC USA is back for 2007 and is once again taking part in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. It is an event that brings together the whole community and helps raise funds for the fight against this disease. I know you care about cancer, too, and I'd love for you to join me as part of my Relay Team again this year. Last year was SUCH a great time!

The event is from about 4 p.m. on June 29 until 9 a.m. on June 30. We'll camp out overnight, walk around the track, and meet lots of new people. There is an incredible tribute to cancer survivors and caregivers that starts off the night and a moving ceremony honoring those who have fought the disease. I can truly say Relay is unlike anything else you'll ever do. It is a night full of fun, hope, and remembrance.

Sign up and come, even if you can't stay all night. Come and walk for only a couple of hours during the evening so those who will be walking all night can get some rest. We'll need people not only to walk, but to cook and serve as part of our fund-raising that night: We've been asked to BBQ again, and I accepted the challenge!

When I did this last year with my friends, we kicked off a WAC Canadian branch with my Canadian friends. I would love to have a third team: WAC Genesis!

If you cannot be part of my relay team, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in behalf of our team, and in rememberance or honor of someone who was taken by this disease, or who has conquered it.
