Chase Family Baptized and Confirmed

Chase family baptismBy Michael Rice, Genesis Mission Leader

On June 14, Willie, Melissa, Nicholas, and Michael Chase were baptized at a beautiful baptismal service in Herriman, Utah. Willie was baptized by the ward mission leader, Jay Gallagher, whose family also performed a beautiful musical number. I spoke on the importance of the gift of the Holy Ghost, and a new group, "The Genesis Brothers"—comprised of President Don Harwell, Abe Mills, and me—sang a closing musical number. The Spirit was incredibly strong!

At the sacrament meeting service the next day Bishop Lassiter confirmed Willie and bestowed upon him the gift of the Holy Ghost in a powerful blessing. He also confirmed Melissa, Nicholas, and Michael. The confirmations, Willie's testimony, and the Primary's musical number took up the entire meeting, and the speakers who had been scheduled were asked to speak the following week. Rarely have I seen an outpouring of the Spirit so strong, and it is a testimony to me that the Lord has great things in store for Willie, Cindy, and their family.

The following Sunday Willie received the Aaronic Priesthood and was ordained to the office of a priest. He looks forward to baptizing his wife, Cindy, in the near future.

I am grateful for the privilege I have had to get to know Willie, Cindy, Melissa, Nicholas, and Michael, as well as their family and the wonderful members of the Herriman 3rd Ward.
