Brother Ronald McClain is an attorney specializing in information technology contracts. His undergraduate education was at Oregon State University and Kansas University, and he graduated from UC Davis Law School in 1978. He and his wife Deena have three daughters (Daines, Laney, and Ronika), two sons (Ronald and Reven), and five grandsons.Brother McClain was baptized into the Church in 1986, endowed in 1987, and sealed to his wife and their then two daughters in 1987. He is a member of the Oakland First Ward of the Oakland California Stake, where he has served on the stake high council, as a member of the Oakland Stake Young Men’s presidency, as president of the Oakland Ninth Branch, as Community Relations Specialist Bay Area Public Affairs (since 2002), and as gospel doctrine instructor (since 2003). He was instrumental in helping set up the Genesis-style meetings in the Oakland area. After serving as a temple volunteer and an ordinance worker, he was called as a sealer—the first Black sealer in the United States—and received the sealing authority from Elder Richard G. Scott on June 16, 2005. |
