Elder Stephen B. AllenElder Stephen B. Allen was named a member of the Fifth Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 2, 2011.

Elder Allen received a bachelorís degree in communications and broadcasting from Brigham Young University in 1975. In 1976 he began his career as a tour manager at Ambassador Productions as well as an audiovisual technician for Disneyland. In 1978 he began working as assistant director of electronic media for the Public Communications Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and later as manager of broadcasting and films. Currently he is managing director of the Missionary Department for the Church.

Elder Allen has served in numerous Church callings, including as a full-time missionary in Guatemala, high councilor, bishop, stake presidentís counselor, Young Men president, president of the Arizona Tempe Mission, and stake president.

Stephen Brown Allen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on January 12, 1950. He married Nancy Billings in January 1972. They are the parents of six children. Elder and Sister Allen reside in West Jordan, Utah.
