Zions Bank Announces 2007 Founders Scholarship Program
   
Zions Bank will award 19 high school students a full-tuition scholarship as part of the Zions Bank Founders Scholarship Program. The four-year, full-tuition scholarship will be awarded to 13 Utah high school students and 6 Idaho high school students.

Scholarships will be awarded to students who will be attending any of the following Utah and Idaho institutions of higher learning: Boise State University (one-year scholarship available), Brigham Young University, Brigham Young University-Idaho, College of Eastern Utah, Davis Applied Technology College (one-year scholarship available), Dixie State College, Salt Lake Community College, Southern Utah University, Snow College, Uintah Basin Applied Technology College (one-year scholarship available), University of Idaho, University of Utah, Utah State University, Utah Valley State College, Weber State University, and Westminster College.

Each respective university will select a scholarship recipient based on academic achievement, citizenship, and community involvement.

Applicants must fit the following criteria:
  1. Applicants must be a high school senior, and must live in Utah if applying for a Utah school or in Idaho if applying for an Idaho school.
  2. Applicants must have a 3.0 or higher high school grade-point average (GPA).
  3. Applicants will submit a letter of recommendation written by a teacher or administrator of their respective high school.
  4. Applicants will submit a one-page letter to their college or university of choice that addresses why they should be considered for the scholarship based on the criteria.
  5. Applicants will complete necessary scholarship application forms for the school of their choice. Each college or university will independently review the applications and make the final determination for each scholarship awarded.
